CBD from Cannabis Hemp is: “What is the correct daily dosage” - Plus a couple of Freebies at bottom of post from nobordersnaturals CBD Company

Joe Biden,Democrat candidate for  US President allegedly, does not favor legalising cannabis.

CBD users and supporters have no worries. If the Cannabis product has less than 0.3% THC it is legal anyway. CBD Cannabis Hemp - Health without the High.

One of the most frequently asked questions about CBD from Cannabis Hemp is: “What is the correct daily dosage” If you do a Google search on CBD dosage you will find many different measurements and approximate dosages for various products. The truth is, this is a complex question to answer.

CBD is a natural herbal plant medicine, therefore, its safe to consume as long as it comes from an established reputable organisation. For the daily recommended dosage, people need some guidance.A useful dosage guide is spelled out in a book titled “CBD: A Patient’s Guide To Medical Cannabis” by Leonard Leinow and Juliana Birnbaum.

Leonard Leinow founded Synergy Wellness, a not-for-profit medical cannabis collective in Northern California and has three decades of experience growing and studying medical cannabis. They are specialist CBD pioneers in this industry.

Juliana Birnbaum has lived and worked around the world and founded Voices in Solidarity, an initiative that partnered with tribal leaders from the Brazilian Amazon to support the development of a community-led environmental education center.

The book is an excellent resource for those new to CBD and its medicinal properties. The book is full of information about CBD from the history of its use, dosing, studies on its use for a variety of illnesses/conditions, and much more.

Here is a summary of the books guide to recommended dosage for CBD:
There are a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration when finding the right dosage of CBD.

The medical condition or problem
The intensity of the problem
Metabolism
How you respond to CBD
Body Weight
Sensitivity to cannabis

Your personal body chemistry (this includes any other medications you may be taking)If so always consult your medical professional. While CBD and herbal products from reliable providers are safe to take, there may be a conflict with some orthodox medication.Your professional will advise.

So, How Much CBD Should You Take?

A traditional approach to finding the right dosage, is the step-up approach. The dose is gradually increased until the desired results are reached. The term used in the book is “Titration.” A term borrowed from chemistry that means taking small steps over time, adjusting slowly. Using this method, you are tailoring the amount of oil to fit the body's needs.Every person is different and everyone’s reaction to CBD is different.

As there is a wide range of dosing possibilities,Here are three dose ranges that can be useful for different conditions:

MicroDose - Using a medicine dropper.
0.5mg to 20mg of CBD per dose per day (CBD/dose/day) A microdose is recommended for sleep, headache, mood disorders, nausea, PTSD, stress, and metabolic disorders, and daily good health maintenance.

Using a medicine dropper. For the microdose, we recommend 5%  CBD oil. 1 drop of 5% oil contains 1.67mg of CBD. You can take 3 drops 3 times per day which will give you 15mg of CBD.Adjust the dosage to your tolerance level.

Standard Dose Using a medicine dropper or medicine spoon.

10mg to 100mg of CBD/dose/day. Standard doses are used for Pain, Inflammation, autoimmune disorders, Lyme disease, Anxiety, Depression, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Autism, IBS, Arthritis, and weight loss.

Macro (Or Therapeutic) Dose
Macro doses are at the high range between 50mg-800mg of CBD/dose/day. This is for cancer, epilepsy, seizures, liver disease, and serious life-threatening conditions.

For the above serious health issues requiring Macro dosing your health professional's advice & guidance should be sought.

Cannabis & Presidents!

CBD from Cannabis Hemp benefits & suffers from belonging to the Cannabis family.

It gains from the enormous publicity surrounding cannabis generally but suffers from being associated with the cannabis black sheep of the family.

A cannabis offspring which gives an intoxicating high that many seek and enjoy, and criminals exploit, but if taken too frequently, or with too high a THC content, can lead to dependency and health damage (THC – Tetrahydrocannabinol - The psychoactive plant chemical that gives the ‘drunk’ effect).

Cannabis products with more than 0.3% THC content are illegal in most countries, except for certain health conditions when they can be legally prescribed by specialist doctors.

Whereas - the CBD Hemp strain from Cannabis - is the goody goody of the family. Retaining most of the health-giving plant chemical benefits of cannabis, with negligible – under 0.3% THC content.

Hemp products, including CBD from Hemp, are legal in most countries.

Cannabis Hemp is a very valuable and versatile source of good things. It is used extensively to make rope, sails, clothing, paper, oil and medical products.

What goes around comes around. Cannabis has been in and out of favour for thousands of years. This latest return to acceptance is likely to be permanent. Modern plant science has identified and separated the beneficial from the harmful.

The only possible block to cannabis coming completely into the open, is the lack of standardisation of laws, taxes, regulation and enforcement in countries, and even from state to state.

The beneficiaries of the muddle are the illegal opportunists. They gave cannabis a bad name in the first place. The black market which was expected to disappear with legalisation will continue to thrive without clear laws and enforcement.

Simply because substantial costs are incurred to operate within the law. An expensive but necessary requirement is independent analysis of cannabis products to verify THC content if any. Which is why non tested black market cannabis products can be so dangerous.

But it was forever thus -

Since the 1700s, cannabis was available throughout North America in a wide variety of medications and general items. In personal correspondence, it’s been revealed that former Presidents Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and James Madison, as well as Benjamin Franklin and Mary Todd Lincoln, all smoked hashish.

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson both used their immense personal wealth to grow vast acreages of hemp at their estates, contributing to their stature in the colonies, with Washington even referring to it as a staple crop of America.

Cannabis saw a major surge in popularity after 1839 thanks to William Brooke O’Shaughnessy, whose research while in India helped its image both in Europe and the New World. It was most popular during the “snake oil” phase of medications in the late 1800s, being used as an ingredient in a wide range of tinctures and drinks used to cure and treat numerous types of ailments

In the U.K. in 1890, Sir Joshua Reynolds, the physician to Queen Victoria, wrote a summary in The Lancet, one of the most prestigious medical journals in the world, touting cannabis’ medicinal benefits.

The Queen herself utilized it for her menstrual cramps. In 1892, Sir William Osler authored the first textbook of Internal Medicine, and advised that cannabis was the most effective treatment for migraines.

Thank goodness we have history to give guidance and inform. It gives us the benefit of hindsight. We now know that the medical benefits of cannabis can be separated from the harmful.  For the future of cannabis and those it can benefit, that is a wonderful thing.

CBD Products from The CBDPure Company.

For the past few months readers have been inquiring about the new seemingly miracle product called Cannabinoid or CBD, that many claim they are using to alleviate various conditions, including chronic pain, anxiety, nausea, rheumatoid arthritis, schizophrenia, diabetes, PTSD, alcoholism, strokes and cardiovascular disease, cancer, and other ailments.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the non-psychoactive, non intoxicating component of Cannabis that has a wide range of therapeutic benefits. CBD is naturally occurring in the Hemp plant and according to the United States own government patent #6,630,507 it supports the nutrition of aging bodies.

Cannabidiol is found to have particular benefits as a neuroprotectant, for example in limiting neurological damage following stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

If you suffer from any of these types of pain?Back Pain, Neck Pain, Knee Pain, Elbow Pain, Shoulder Pain, Lower Back Pain -  CBDPure All Natural Hemp may be able to help!

The CBDPure Company  oils are made with non-GMO hemp, grown in Colorado by local farmers. Our hemp oil is minimally processed by following the highest organic standards at every step of our growing, harvesting, and bottling process.

When you buy a CBDPure product, you are buying the purest CBD oil from natural sources, that is 100% free of any synthetic or artificial ingredients.

We test every batch of oil that we process to ensure that it meets the purity standards that we demand.

Third-Party Testing - Our hemp oil is third-party tested for potency and quality. Our stringent testing program ensures that you get the very best, and most potent, CBD oil available legally.

About CBDPure - CBDPure was founded in 2016 with a simple mission, to make the highest-quality CBD oil available, and back that with public third-party lab test results and an iron-clad 90-day money-back guarantee.

We think we have succeeded, and we are proud of our reputation in the market, and our thousands of satisfied customers who have supported what we do in every bottle we make.

A Commitment to Purity We are committed to producing only the purest CBD product available, that's why we use only 2 ingredients in our CBDPure oil; high-potency cannabidiol, and a base of unprocessed natural hemp oil.

We never use isolate or chemical extractions, and every drop of CBDPure is from full-spectrum hemp. We rely on organic farming techniques and minimal processing to keep our CBD as natural as possible.

We use only organically-raised hemp plants, grown in the sun of Colorado.

After harvest, our crop is tested for a full range of chemicals and heavy metals, and every plant must pass our strict quality control before entering our processing facility. Once our hemp is dried and cut, we use only pure CO2 supercritical extraction, rather than cheaper chemical solvents.

This retains the full spectrum of natural cannabinoids, terpenes, natural oils, and phytonutrients in our whole-plant extract.

Cannabis is a wonderful Plant.Probably the most versatile and valuable on the planet, given the extensive range of products sourced from it.

Its medicinal properties can unfortunately suffer much abuse by black market operators cutting corners in the growing, extraction, quality control, and testing stages.

Legitimate companies are at a price disadvantage in manufacturing, and by paying local & national taxes and licence fees. The black market avoids such responsibilities.

It was expected that legalisation of cannabis would bring an end to the rogue operators, who achieve their low prices by corner cutting and regulation avoidance.

This is not happening due to the uncertainty and muddle that exists with state and national legislation.

Cannabis is wonderful, but can be harmful if abused.Buy only from reputable established suppliers.

CBDPure may be higher cost initially, but it is quality, and achieves results, safely, using less.

This Genesis Mint Cool Electric Car Won the Hearts of All at the NY Auto Show

This year's Shanghai auto show was the place to be to see car designers' ideas for future electric cars. But not everyone chose China as the place to reveal their electric concept cars. Genesis thinks the Big Apple is a better place to make an annual statement.

In 2017 it was the GV80, a hydrogen fuel cell EV that was the first clean-sheet design for the new Korean luxury brand and a vehicle that seems a lot more plausible now that we've driven Hyundai's Nexo.

Last year, we got the Essentia, an electric hypercar that will almost certainly remain nothing more than a concept. Now, for the third year in a row, Genesis has stolen the New York International Auto Show, this time with the Mint, its take on a small luxury battery EV.

Forget an electric car for the masses, this one is for a niche within a niche: the city dweller who only needs two seats but still wants cargo space, plus the added drama of scissor doors and a leather-lined interior that looks like it belongs in a coachbuilt Bugatti from the 1930s. Admittedly, it's not the biggest demographic in the world, but I count myself firmly in that camp.

"Luxury has no size," said Manfred Fitzgerald, head of Genesis Motors. "Even a small car with a confined space can feel luxurious. Despite the aesthetic cues, I think it also has a lot of practical features to it like the lateral openings to stow your things. Also the simplicity of the interior, the fine lines and reducing it to the minimum, to the essentials, is the statement here."

Genesis designer Sangyup Lee concurred. "Traditionally, size matters in luxury cars. But the question to ourselves was, 'If you live in a city like New York, is size relevant?"

Lee told Ars. "What if we did something small but luxurious. It's an EV, so we pushed the wheels to the corners. Even though it's a small car we could stretch the cabin so there's a lot of leg room and headroom when you sit in it.

We also asked ourselves whether four or five seats were relevant; in a city there are a lot of transport options, and maybe two seats are enough, and we made the rear space utilitarian so you could carry your stuff."

That cargo area is accessed through a pair of side-opening doors that give the car plenty of visual drama while also being practical. "The scissor doors open from the sides so you can easily access your stuff from the cargo area.

If you think about it, in a city cars park bumper to bumper. So is a hatchback tailgate the best idea? Maybe not, if there's a car parked right behind you," Lee said. "When scissor doors are in the front they're quite heavy, the glass has to drop, and it's difficult to get in and out. But when you have them like this, half size and in the back, it's almost ideal."

Tesla Model 3 Breaking Sales Records for EVs All Over

Tesla Model 3 = Best Selling Car (Of Any Type) In Netherlands, Norway, & Switzerland →

The Swiss plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market smashed its previous sales record (1,341 registrations) last month by registering 2,162 vehicles. That meant that the PEV share jumped to 7.5% (6.4% from fully electric vehicles and 1.1% from plug-in hybrids), pulling the 2019 PEV share to 5.3% and thus almost doubling last year’s result.

The Tesla Model 3 delivery tsunami was the main reason for this brilliant performance, with the sedan scoring 1,094 registrations. That’s not only an absolute record for a plug-in vehicle, but also the first time that an electric vehicle is #1 on the vehicle market — across all fuel sources.

Tesla Official Launch Video If You Haven't Seen It -

In the 2019 ranking, the Model 3 is #4 on the overall market, well ahead of its direct petrol/diesel competition, the Mercedes C-Class, which is only #9 in the mainstream market with 1,127 registrations. With even the #2 Volkswagen Golf (1,681 registrations) not that far away, the Californian could easily reach the runner-up spot this year. If it’s really ambitious, it could even aspire to remove the Skoda Octavia (2,361 units) from the leadership position.

But while the Model 3 is pulling plug-ins to new heights, the Tesla Model S and X are losing steam. Both ended 2018 in the PEV top 5, but the highest placed (Model S) is now only #8.

On the plug-in hybrid side, the leader is the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, in #5, being followed by the #7 Volvo XC60 PHEV, which is 48 units behind the Japanese SUV.

Another Swede in the news is the new generation Volvo V60 PHEV, which joined the top 20 in #16, delivering 31 units last month. That was the nameplate’s best performance ever on this market.

In the manufacturer ranking, Switzerland is now Tesla turf (Tesla has 42% share of the PEV market), while Renault (10%) is in a distant 2nd place, followed by BMW (9%) and Volvo (8%), which is set to return to the medal positions soon.

Rank Model           March  2019 PEV Share
1 Tesla Model 3 1,371            42%
2 Renault Zoe                   364            10%
3 BMW i3                   222             6%
4 Hyundai Kona EV   214                   6%

Canada’s newly announced $5,000 incentive for electric vehicles is officially going into effect on May 1st next month and the federal government has released the list of eligible vehicles.

Tesla vehicles are officially ineligible for the incentive.

As we reported last month, the Canadian federal announced a new $5,000 incentive for electric cars with a $45,000 price limit, which virtually excluded Tesla vehicles.

Everything You Need To Know About Charging Your EV (Electric Vehicle) At Home

Everything You Need To Know About Charging Your EV At Home

The Tesla Model 3 has broken through traditional electric vehicle market segmentation and into the mainstream. That is great news for the planet, as tens of thousands of new electric vehicles are displacing fossil fuel vehicles each month. However, that also comes with a new set of challenges.

Thankfully, CleanTechnica is here to help with a primer for all new EV owners to help them understand what’s needed to keep their new addition all charged up and ready to go. We’re going to focus on home charging for folks with a garage in this piece. The topic of charging in a multi-family dwelling like an apartment, condo, or townhome is much more complex and deserves its own series of articles.

Charging Basics
First and foremost, you need to know how much range you actually need to add to your new EV each night. This is determined by the number of miles or kilometers you drive each day, on average. Because you have the ability to recharge your EV every night, you only need to add back the total number of miles driven on average, not every day. Said another way, just because you might drive 150 miles (240 kilometers) on a weekend, you don’t need a charger that can add that much range to your vehicle every night of the week.

Like most EV owners, when my wife and I first bought our Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive, we didn’t know what to expect. Did we need a 240 volt charger? Would plugging into the 110 volt charger every night give us enough range? We simply didn’t know. After a few weeks of using the 110 volt charger that came with the car, we realized that would work for us to cover her daily commute and occasional errands around town.

Toyota Prius Prime - garage plugging in

Every driver is different and there are plenty of options out there to let you build a custom charging solution for your needs. Thankfully, that’s way easier than it might sound.

Options
Automotive manufacturers and charging solution providers give you lots of options to build the best charging solution for your home and for your lifestyle. Most of these residential solutions are broken down into 110 volt / 15 amp charging, also known as Level 1 charging, and 240 volt charging, which is also called Level 2 charging.

Most vehicles are capable of charging at both Level 1 speeds (approximately 1.1 kW) and Level 2 (6.6 kW), but there are a few plug-in hybrids that are limited to charging speeds of 3.3 kW. That’s not the end of the world, but it’s worth knowing what the maximum speed your vehicle is capable of charging at before investing a few hundred or thousand dollars in a faster charging setup.

Staying Charged With A 110V Outlet
The biggest difference between the two is that Level 1 chargers are capable of pulling much less power from the home, and as a result, can only deliver around 4–5 miles (~7 kilometers) of range per hour of charging. The upshot is that most homes already have outlets that can support Level 1 charging, so no new outlets or additional wiring are needed. Just plug in and you’re charging. Most EVs come with these chargers, but you can also purchase a 110 volt charger aftermarket if you want features that yours does not offer.

For most vehicles, a 110 volt, 15 amp outlet will provide plenty of juice for your day to day driving and charging needs. Even if you’re not sure how much you actually drive on a daily basis, it’s definitely worth trying out charging on a normal wall outlet for a few days or weeks before you throw down the money for a higher power charger and a new electrical circuit.

Put Safety First
It’s worth taking a step back here to note that if you are not sure what wiring your house has or even what a specific plug has, that you should consult a professional electrician. It’s expensive, but so is burning down your house by trying to pull more power than a circuit can handle, which is unfortunately far too common.

We are not electricians here, so don’t ask, but please do not underestimate the importance of getting your home set up correctly for EV charging. These things can pull a ton of power, so do the work up front to ensure you are set up correctly to charge your new vehicle safely.

Leveling Up Your Home Charging
Stepping up to a Level 2 charger usually means that a dedicated 240 volt is needed. Some homes, and garages in particular, are already wired up with outlets for electric dryers that can be repurposed for EV charging at 30, 40, or even 50 amps, depending on the wiring that was installed.

Level 2 chargers do not typically come with the purchase of an EV. Though, many automotive manufacturers and dealers can recommend specific chargers and local installers to help get the ball rolling. From a hardware standpoint, the basic function of EV chargers is to move power from the home into the car, and that’s rather straightforward.

Just about any Level 2 vehicle charger will get your vehicle charged up, but there are a few key differentiators to look out for. First, the amperage. Residential Level 2 chargers can generally be found operating at 240 volts and between 30 and 50 amps. This is the equivalent of the diameter of the pipe and dictates how much power the charger can suck down and cram into your vehicle, assuming it can handle the charge.

With that being the case, the amperage of the charger and the circuit you use it on will dictate the number of miles per hour of range you will be able to add to your vehicle. Find a charger that pulls down as much power as the dedicated circuit you will be using it with and you’ve locked in the first variable for your Level 2 charger.

Second, it is important to find a charger with a cable that’s long enough to get to the vehicle you’re using today and the vehicle you might have tomorrow. You’ll need to think about and pick the location of the power you’re going to use and do some noodling around how long you want the cable to be. For my money, I’m a fan of getting a 25 foot cable and installing the charger at the rear of the car. That’s where most cars have their charging ports, but Nissan still puts the chargers up front in the LEAF, Volvo and Ford put them on the front quarter panels, and Mercedes occasionally puts them on the passenger side rear bumper for their plug-in hybrids. I’d rather invest in a longer cable now, just to be sure.

Now that you know where you’re going to install it, the next question should be a quickie. Does it need to be weatherproof? Many modern chargers are designed to be weatherproof, but that’s not a guarantee with every Level 2 charger you might buy.

Last, intelligence. Now that you’ve narrowed down the options for a Level 2 charger, rip off the cover and see how big the brain is. Or you can do the digital equivalent and start looking at the features they come with. The smarts of the controller all start with being connected to the internet and a smartphone app. Many chargers don’t have this and, frankly, you might not want it, but there are an increasingly large number of reasons that buying a smart charger is worth a couple of extra bucks.

Connected chargers put control of the stations into the hands of owners, allowing them to not only see the status of their vehicle, but to control their charger remotely. Granted, this remote connectivity won’t be something you use everyday, but it’s nice to have when you need it.

Because EV chargers pull so much power, the ability to control how they act, or better yet, let someone else control how they act on your behalf can save you a ton of money. This is accomplished in one of two ways. Understanding the rates your utility charges can allow your EV charger to only push power down to your car when rates are at their lowest. Many utilities actually offer a special low rate for electricity for EV charging. Some cars also allow you to program your vehicle to use cheap charging, but it requires a little more effort and won’t change automatically if your utility tweaks your rates.

A few of the more advanced EV chargers even go so far as to have integrated demand response functionality that allows the charging station manufacturer to aggregate all of its connected chargers into a pool that it can throttle charging up and down on to earn money. They do this in response to signals from the utility and they get paid for it. These payments can be passed on to station owners, making it a win for everyone involved.

Charging On The Go
Your home charging solution might not be ideal. That was certainly the case for the first few years my wife and I lived with two electric vehicles. We were using 110 volt Level 1 chargers for both our vehicles which left our Tesla in a constantly diminishing state of charge because we just drove the dang thing so much. While it was certainly not ideal, the occasional stop at the Supercharger was okay for us and we were happy to work around it. We did eventually install a Dryer Buddy (which I was planning to review, but things changed before I was able to spend enough time with it), which allowed us to use our dryer outlet for the dryer and our EVSE.

Everyone’s situation is different, but remember that you can always reach out and use the public charging network as a bridge for the times when your home setup isn’t working how you want it to. You have options. Don’t stress over it. But all of that starts with understanding what those options are and how you can use them to keep your new EV all charged up.

Below is a link to the original article. There are many comments on it by existing Electric Vehicle users giving their own experience in many situations, and suggestions to avoid mistakes they made.Altogether it covers all the possible snags, including some you might not think of,so that you are fully prepared and knowledgeable, and that could save you a lot of money.

Brexit - The Answer - Simples!

Visit my Blog - cbd4pets.store

The result of the 2016 referendum was ‘52% For’ and ‘48% Against’.

Let’s clarify this, in case anyone has missed the message this result conveys.

This 4% difference actually means that if 2% of the voting public had voted in the opposite direction,
the result would have been ‘50% For’ and ‘50% Against’.

Yes, that’s right, A DRAW.

This was never a credible margin. This result cried out “We are undecided. We don’t know”

Had the referendum terms required a significant majority to qualify as an acceptable result, none of
the ensuing chaos would have occurred and quite right too. What the voters demonstrated, for
whatever reason, was indecision.

There is the constant argument that the ‘will of the people’ must be observed….. Really?

That’s another way of saying ‘the will of 52% of the British people’ must be observed.
Which is another way of saying ‘the will of 48% of the British people’ must not be observed.

And here we have the REAL problem:

There is an almost equal body of people who want to ‘Leave’ as those who would prefer to ‘Stay.’
The margin so miniscule that no government can proceed, really believing that they are carrying out
the definitive wishes of the people. Whatever the result, virtually half the electorate will feel let down.

The politicians are a reflection of the electorate which is understandable. Demonstrating the same
indecision and differences of opinion which brings us to a simple conclusion.

There is no answer! There never has been because the referendum result was too close. Nobody can
resolve a matter when half of the votes are ‘yes’ and half ‘no’.

So, ……………Accept this –it’s indisputable.

The solution is not for me to say, but based on this content it seems that an equitable way forward
would be to acknowledge these observations that the process is no longer viable because it
disadvantages the wishes of virtually half the country whatever the outcome and stop all negotiations
based on this appraisal and instead, work towards unscrambling this mess.

You never know, such morally commendable and empathetic action might be acknowledged as an honourable solution for the good of everyone.

Simples !

Explain the Cannabis Legal Muddle to Me – O.K..How Long Have You Got?

Title – Explain the Cannabis Legal Muddle to Me? – O.K - How Long Have You Got?

Visit my Blog - cbd4pets.store

This Post, Part Curated from Article by Aaron Cadena & Part by me - ijavee

Cannabis must be the most versatile, most valuable Plant, in our herbal health and usefulness treasury, but also the most demonised, abused and misunderstood .

Due to its ability to naturally treat dozens of chronic conditions, the demand for Cannabidiol (CBD) has skyrocketed. As the popularity of the hemp-derived compound explodes, so has its acceptance in many states across America including California, Colorado, and Kentucky.

While moving in the right direction, the legality of CBD is still very unclear due to laws that differ from state to state and even USA Federal level. This confusion deters many from using CBD. Denying them its benefits as they worry and wonder - “Is CBD legal?”

Answering this is not exactly straightforward as you will see.

(Here is an example) - While it’s true that CBD is legal in all 50 states, there are situations when it isn’t legal.

The difference between legal and illegal typically depends on several important factors determined by the state in question. There is, however, one very important factor that is a crucial determinant across all states, and that is if the CBD is derived from–hemp or marijuana. - (Marijuana is the Mexican word for Cannabis)

Health Without the Highs

Marijuana and hemp are strains of the same plant, so they do share a lot of characteristics. There is, however, a crucial difference between the two – the amount of psychoactive Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) each strain of the plant produces. While marijuana can contain up to 30% THC, hemp contains no more than 0.3% THC. In other words, marijuana can get you high, while hemp has such a low amount of THC, that it would be impossible to get high off it.

Because hemp has no psychoactive effects, the law has no problem with it. Hemp products are completely legal and available in all types of different industries and stores across America. Marijuana, on the other hand, is much a different story. And therefore, the source of a CBD product is crucial to its legality.

The Legality of Hemp-Derived CBD

So, is CBD legal? If we’re talking about hemp-derived CBD, then the answer is yes. Now, the keyword here is “hemp-derived.” Because CBD from hemp has no psychoactive effects, the purchase, sales, or possession of hemp CBD products are completely legal in all 50 States. Because the hemp strain is sometimes confused with the marijuana plant, there is still some stigma towards hemp-derived CBD, but from a legal perspective, hemp-derived CBD is completely legal and enjoys the rights of any other legal product.

The Legality of Marijuana-Derived CBD

Marijuana-derived CBD products, on the other hand, do not enjoy the same luxuries. Because it has been derived from THC-rich marijuana, marijuana-derived CBD, even its isolated form, is considered as a by-product of marijuana and is judged accordingly. In some states, marijuana-derived CBD is completely legal, while in others, it is illegal, but in most states, it’s a bit of a mixed bag, each state having CBD-specific laws regarding percentage of TCH content allowed.

While Federal political leadership indifference has caused a ton of confusion for consumers, there are a handful of states where hemp-derived and marijuana-derived CBD are legal, which just might lead to a nationwide shift for CBD legality.

States Where CBD is Legal for Recreational Use and Medicinal use.

As of 2018, there are 8 States where Cannabis plant products , including both marijuana and hemp, are completely legal for recreational and medicinal use. These states are Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. So if you find yourself in one of these wonderful states, you are free to legally use CBD in any form without a prescription.

States Where CBD is Legal for Medicinal Use

As of 2018, there are a total of 46 states (including the 8 states mentioned above) where CBD is legal with a prescription for medicinal usage. Now although CBD usage is legal in these states, the law varies from state to state, with 17 states having specific legislation for the THC-levels found in CBD and the conditions being treated with CBD.

These 17 states are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. See the table below for specific legislations per state.

The other 29 states that fully legalize the Medical use of all CBD products derived from either hemp or Marijuana are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia. The territories of Guam and Puerto Rico also allow the use of CBD products on medical grounds.

Before purchasing any CBD product in these states (aside from the 8 mentioned above) you must have a medical prescription issued by a certified medical doctor. Each state has a particular concentration of THC it allows to be present in a CBD product, with the percentage ranging from 0.3%?—?8%. (See details in table 1.1 below). Even though the legal situation seems to be shifting in a positive direction, if you are in any of these states, it is very important to be aware of the state’s laws towards CBD.

States Where CBD is Illegal

These states are Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota. But there are businesses selling CBD, and patients using CBD in these states. We totally believe in the benefits CBD offers and support the CBD movement, but if you are in one of these states, be cautious and careful when considering using CBD products.

As the CBD movement continues to grow, we are very optimistic that both hemp-derived and marijuana-derived CBD will be completely legal in all 50 states within the next 5 years. Of course, it is still very hard to predict the future, especially given the constantly shifting political landscape, but we can continue to push forward, build awareness, and educate the world about the benefits of CBD.

So here’s the rub… CBD oil of ANY kind is Federally illegal, therefore, depending on the job you are applying for, if they require a drug test, you could end up with severe consequences. It’s a HUGE loophole here. AND the labs don’t tell you that they are testing for THC, they say they are testing for marijuana… yet another loophole. Someone we know…

Not cool at all! Your friend’s employer likely ran drug tests that specifically tested for CBD, as some employers will do this. That is ridiculous though and the laws do not need to be changed. I think we are definitely moving in the right direction but just need to keep informing the masses

You need to check your facts on the legality of CBD oil in all 50 states. Wisconsin just passed us a little gem here because they’re idiots. https://fox6now.com/2018/05/07/wisconsin-department-of-justice-says-possession-of-cbd-is-illegal-in-most-cases/

Hey, thanks for bringing this to our attention! I’ll update our resources. This article was written prior to the release of the article you linked.
While CBD is legal in some states, it is federally illegal; and because of this, and the lack of information on the subject at the lawmaker’s level, the legality of CBD… more…

As one of the people who used marijuana i think legalizing it in our country is ok. Many of us nowadays used marijuana as medicine for there illness. I have witnessed one of my friend who continuously using CBD as one for her medicine to treat her breast cancer. And this article shows…

I definitely agree with you. In countries like Canada and the UK, they are more open minded and see the potential for CBD and I think America needs to set the politics aside and look at what’s best for the people

There is an issue with this: “If we’re talking about hemp-derived CBD, then the answer is yes.”
What matters here is in the eyes of federal law, hemp the same as marijuana. I am referencing this: https://intellicbd.com/articles/is-cbd-legal/ There is a loophole that says the seeds and stalks are not marijuana, but these…

I definitely agree with you. We should always state federally CBD is illegal; however, thankfully we do live in a country where checks and balances keep law-making power in check and states where CBD is legal do protect their citizens, greatly mitigating the risk to almost nothing. It is still important to be aware of the federal law though should a CBD user be traveling to other states where laws aren’t as clear.

CBD from Cannabis Hemp - Progress Report.

Visit my Blog - cbd4pets.store

Marijuana is the Mexican Word for Cannabis. It is a wonder plant that has been hijacked and given a bad name by underworld gangs, exploiting a chemical compound in the plant called THC that produces intoxicating highs sought by drug users.

Hemp is also produced from the Cannabis plant and is the source of Canabidiol, a chemical compound commonly shortened to CBD. This has negligible intoxicating THC content and will increasingly become freely available online and in supermarkets, pharmacies and health shops. A wide range of therapeutic benefits are claimed for it.

CBD is naturally occurring in the Hemp plant and according to the United States own government patent #6,630,507 it supports  nutrition of aging bodies.

Cannabis medicine is not a new concept. Its medicinal use dates back thousands of years – at least 1,000 years in India and 5,000 years in China.

Before its prohibition in the West, major pharmaceutical companies offered a wide variety of cannabis-based medicines, with 1840 to 1937 being the “golden age” for cannabis medicine.

With the discovery of the cannabidoid non intoxicating compound CBD in Cannabis Hemp, It is predicted that prescription-Free CBD products from Cannabis Hemp will pose competition for the $1.1 Trillion Pharmaceutical Industry.

Which is not surprising. As soon as the Farm Bill passed in the USA, effectively legalizing CBD nationwide, it was only a matter of time before major retailers stepped into the market.

Last week, Walgreens announced it would begin selling CBD products in its stores.

CBD products on sale in American States with Walgreen stores means other States and Countries will be watching public response.

Walgreens has entered the CBD market in direct competition with rival CVS.

Proof that 2019 will be the “Year of CBD“continue to pour in.

It will mean big sales for those health and wellness companies with leading brands and an eye towards becoming global consumer packaged CBD goods giants.

Walgreens spokesman Brian Faith said in a statement.
“This product offering is in line with our efforts to provide a wider range of accessible health and wellbeing products and services to best meet the needs and preferences of our customers,”

Walgreens rival, CVS Health ( Consumer Value Stores), made a similar CBD announcement days before.

In a true show of that rivalry, Walgreens is attempting to outpace CVS. While the initial CVS rollout covered 800 stores across eight states, Walgreens will begin carrying the products in nearly 1,500 stores across nine states.

And competition between chains is not only expected, but also healthy for the growth of the cannabis industry.

The sale of prescription free CBD through major retailers in these states is not unexpected, and it signals something huge for the cannabis markets as a whole…

Existing Markets Examined

CBD creams, patches, and sprays hitting the shelves of major retailers in California, Colorado, Oregon, and Vermont seems like a natural progression. States like these already have a robust cannabis presence, and there’s no reason to think residents will hesitate to purchase new CBD products.

CBD Hemp from Cannabis is expected to create growth at an unbelievable speed in 2019.

As these products are wellness-based, selling them in states with medical-only markets is a no-brainer. No one should be taken back to see the companies offer CBD in states like Maryland, New Mexico, and Illinois.

And even without legal marijuana, states like Kentucky and Tennessee already have incredibly well-established industrial hemp industries. So it makes perfect sense that both CVS and Walgreens have chosen to include these states as part of their initial CBD rollout.

But there are a handful of states whose inclusion in these deals is completely unexpected.

CVS will sell CBD products in Alabama, Walgreens will sell them in South Carolina, and both will sell them in Indiana.

The decision of these two major drug stores to sell CBD in certain states is surprising. Hemp cultivation is far more recent in these states, and there are no serious efforts to see medicinal cannabis legalized in any of them – let alone adult use.

Clearly, the Farm Bill is having far deeper-reaching effects than anyone could have imagined – and at an astounding pace. Once again, we have clear evidence that 2019 is the “Year of CBD.”

CBD is not just a wellness product with incredible healing potential – it’s the key to normalizing cannabis and penetrating markets no one imagined cannabis would touch in our lifetimes.

CVS and Walgreens are only the beginning. Considering this progress, it’s hard to believe that cannabis in your grocery store is very far away. Don’t be surprised when you see CBD reach the shelves of Target or Walmart.
