Steam Powered First Industrial Revolution. Will Steem Power the Second ?

Steam, Spelt STEAM, Powered First Industrial Revolution. Will Steem, spelt STEEM, Power the Second ?

I’ve been on Steemit for 18 months. I wondered what the thinking was behind the name?. There didn’t appear to be any logic, or indication of a light bulb moment of inspiration, as in - ‘I’ve got it !  We’ll call it Steem

It’s not exciting, or sexy as everything has to be to succeed these days. Not like Bitcoin, which was not just the first, but the only one out of thousands launched that the uninitiated could have an inkling of what it was about.

‘Well it’s a coin, innit? Says so on the tin’. But Monero ? Ripple ? An Ice cream, perhaps ?

But the penny, err, coin, dropped for me when I read about SMTs. Smart Media Tokens. And how Steem with it’s advanced Blockchain technology is in pole position to sell and run SMT services for a wide variety of applications. This potential is recognised by Steems 2nd position  in a table of Cryptocurrency usefulness. Bitcoin at 13th !

Apps! Steem ! It’s the beginning of a revolution. The first  - The Industrial Revolution - powered by Steam, and the second - The Financial and Inventions Revolution - powered by Steem, and its advanced Blockchain technology for launching SMTs Smart Media Tokens.  What goes around comes around!

The Blockchain is the steam/steem engine of my day. The one on the farm where my father worked could run a threshing machine and a cattle feed mixer at the same time. Driven by separate pulley wheels and belts.
Steam Engine Image.British Industrial Revolution.

The Blockchain is a ‘One-man Band’. A Juggler. Able to multitask with thousands of balls in the air at once.

According to its fans, the blockchain will:

Replace passports, land registries, voting systems

Replace contracts

Get rid of fees on financial transactions

Replace all keys: for homes, cars, hotel rooms and so on

Eliminate spam

End digital piracy of music, films and TV

Lead to self-owning self-driving cars

Lead to thousands and thousands of job losses at banks and other bureaucracies
It is a Trust Machine

New. Government Health Warning - Smoking is Good For You !

New. Government Health Warning - Smoking is Good For You !
That is a notice that you could increasingly see in the future, especially after June 7th this year.
This could be bigger than investing in - Anheuser-Bush in 1932 or bitcoin in 2011
Because the controversial herb Cannabis is being looked at by the Big Tobacco Companies anticipating a favorable vote on that date by the Canadian Government for its limited use for recreational and medicinal use. (Cannabis is the umbrella name that houses marijuana and hemp.)
I always thought Cannabis was harmful to mental health. From time to time there were arguments to the contrary but not the total turnaround from bad guy to good guy that is apparently about to take place if the information I've been sent comes about.

Cannabis - Poacher turned Gamekeeper?
The Giant tobacco companies Philip Morris & British American Tobacco have apparently been lobbying, anticipating and preparing for its approval for years.
This is a memo from March 1970, from British American Tobacco’s taxation consultant, to its management:

“Smoking such [a marijuana] cigarette is a natural expansion of current smoking habits which, if a more tolerant attitude were ever taken to cannabis, would be a change in habit comparable to moving over to cigars...
“The proposed research can be started off very simply, it is just to do for “cannabis-loaded” cigarettes what has already been done for normal cigarettes. . . . The starting point must be to learn how to produce in quantity cigarettes loaded uniformly with a known amount of either ground cannabis or dried and cut cannabis rag.”

Nixon’s “War on Drugs” put the brakes on for a while in the 1970s, but now the leash is off. And the plans are ON.

Over the coming year, a new form of smoking will surface that could actually be good for your health, and its not Ecigarettes,a product which has seen tremendous growth as evidenced by the explosion of vaping outlets.

Ecigarette smoking, particularly by the younger generation is one of the reasons for the slump in traditional tobacco sales.

But are the tables about to be turned. The tobacco people’ are increasingly confident that the recent and growing favorable publicity for the good bits of cannabis indicates - Yes !

Tobacco gets a facelift

Imagine a form of smoking that supplements your diet like a vitamin. That kills pain, speeds up sports recovery, and helps prevent illness.

If it was proven, and government-approved, who wouldn’t want it?

Even Oxford University now acknowledges it’s fundamentally important in the development and function of the nervous system.

Zameel Cader, Associate Professor in Clinical Neurosciences at Oxford University says it’s

“increasingly recognised as fundamentally important in the development and function of the nervous system.”

Studies suggest our current lack causes a deficiency that’s linked to migraines, fibromyalgia, IBS, and other diseases related to the immune system and inflammation.

Those statements from respected professionals, allied to money being invested by the tobacco companies looks as if it will overcome objectors.  So - What is the truth?

Ah ! The Truth – that is a difficult one. There are so many sayings that fit. – ‘Truth is the first casualty of War -and Big Money’ – ‘Truth is what you can prove’, and – ‘Justice is what the judge had for breakfast’.

But I digress

Experts believe that the global market for cannabis products could eventually reach $270 billion. The following comparisons show how big that is

The diabetes devices market is expected to reach around $35 billion by 2024.
Cancer drugs already top the scales at £121 billion.
HIV treatments came in at $19 billion in 2013.

So this new cannabis smoking global market could be worth more than all drugs sold for diabetes, cancer and HIV - Combined.

And It’s happening, soon

It’s why some multinational tobacco companies are scrambling to get their ducks in a row, right now.

Because with Big Tobacco behind it, this will be huge.

In America, 30 states and the District of Columbia currently have laws broadly legalising marijuana in some form. In addition, 8 states and the District of Columbia have adopted the most expansive laws legalising recreational use.
Medicinal marijuana is already above board in Australia, Chile, Jamaica and parts of India.
Police chiefs in Germany have called for cannabis to be decriminalised.
In the UK, the law is already softening its stance. The non-psychoactive cannabis compound, cannabidiol (CBD), is already legally sold as a supplement - without a license

Big plans have been on the tobacco companies’ table for almost half a century. And now they’re finally making their move….

Phillip Morris’s $20 million investment in Israel’s Syqe Medical was the second largest cannabis deal of 2016…

Last year, Imperial Tobacco changed its name to Imperial Brands and hired cannabis expert Simon Langelier...

And in January this year, Alliance One International bought majority stakes in two Canadian cannabis businesses...

The trend is catching fire!

And now the whole world is gearing up for Marijuana-Mania (Cannabis is the umbrella name that houses marijuana and hemp.)

Come 7th June, Canada will have held the vote set to legalize production, sale and consumption of recreational cannabis.

It is widely expected to be a yes.

Bitcoin Price Dip -Just Girding Up it's Loins I Think

Bitcoin Price Dip - Just Girding Up it's Loins, I Think

For a big leap higher. Will history repeat itself.

March 2017 Bitcoin - $850 for 1 Bitcoin.

Then onward and upward, reaching  $19,000 December 2017. Then the price dip -

March 2018 - $8000 for 1 Bitcoin

My own small Bitcoin account value -

March 2017 $74 -  i.e  I own a fraction of a Bitcoin

March 2018. $2000.  I own a bigger fraction of a Bitcoin

And Sam Volkering thinks it is about to happen again. Here is his reasoning -

Breaking news: 80,000 shops to accept crypto!

For cryptos to become more than a speculative fad they need to gain traction in the real world.

No question.

On Tuesday, they got that traction.

The biggest crypto-coins on the market will soon be accepted in 80,000 shops around Europe. This is a huge step forward.

As reported in The Independent Republic:

“A new partnership between Coingate and Prestashop will allow for the use of cryptocurrency in payments in as many as 80,000 merchants in Europe. This means that consumers can use pretty much any cryptocurrency in the Coingate portfolio, to pay for goods and services…”

This is an important move toward widespread crypto adoption. When everyday shoppers can pick up goods using alt-coins… the financial revolution becomes legitimate.

Connect the dots… and you should see where all this is heading:

In December 2017 Japan declared that bitcoin can be used as a legally accepted form of payment.

A bill has just been introduced to Russian parliament to allow crypto payments.

Some banks in Australia are allowing their customers to buy into crypto via their accounts.

The wind behind this movement is blowing strong.

And the market dip we’re seeing now is a flashing green light, in my view. Buy the dip or I think you will come to rue it.

You might read a lot of gloom and doom about the current drop in the crypto market… but let me show you something that I hope will put all that into perspective for a moment.

Let’s look at the price of bitcoin (a good proxy for the market in general) in March of every year since 2010:

March 2010: $0.003
March 2011: $1
March 2012: $5
March 2013: $80
March 2014: $600
March 2015: $250
March 2016: $400
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results
March 2017: $950
March 2018: $8,000

Those complaining about the dip need to wake up! If you’re an investor out to make money – this is the dream. But it’s REAL!

This is the fastest-rising asset class in history… and its evolution is on fast forward:

Two years ago most people had no idea what it was… now it’s being championed in US congress, accepted in 80k stores in Europe and some see it climbing as high as $500k or even $1m a coin by 2020!

I cannot be any clearer: buy this dip or take a gut punch of what I believe will be bitter regret.

Forecasts are not a reliable indicator of future results.

Click here immediately and I’ll show you how to claim your stake in this crypto revolution… and one coin I’m backing to hit 22,200% gains.

I’m serious. I haven’t been as sure as the long-term potential of anything in my entire investing life. I wasn't experienced or savvy enough to invest in pre-2000s tech stocks...I was only 16 in 2000...and thought maybe that was the defining opportunity of our lifetime.

I was wrong. The crypto uprising creams it by a country mile. Hopefully we’ll see the next soaring-phase of the boom very soon…everything tells me pressure is building under the market right now, and could be ready to blow up again.

But if not, even if it takes another one or two or five years… I think the price climbs will make the wealth accumulated during the oil boom, the tech boom, the gold boom, all of it… look downright meagre in comparison.

Let me show you how to stake a little sum – money you can afford to lose - in this ready to erupt again market.

I’ve put together a special Crypto Wealth Package you can get your hands on immediately. Claim yours now, grab a stake in this unprecedented financial boom and discover:
How to buy, store and keep your crypto investments secure

Why the next financial crisis could push cryptos through the roof

A special five part beginner’s guide to investing in cryptocurrencies

How to tackle the high risks of this volatile market

The name of the coin I’m backing to soar higher than bitcoin…
Forecasts are not a reliable indicator of future results.
and potentially turn every £250 you invest into £55,000!

That’s the potential here – and I’m offering to show you how to snatch it with both hands.

Are you up for it? I hope so…

Because NOW is the time to move. Strike when cryptos are dipped down to these insane bargain prices.

Click here now, claim your Crypto Wealth Package, and dive in to the biggest wealth eruption of all time.

Do it… take the leap… it’s not a big one, but it’s one that could make a huge impact on your money. In 6-12 months I think you’re going to look back at this as the single greatest financial decision you ever made.

Especially if you move fast while prices are so low. My eight years of experience in the alt-coin market tells me it won’t last.

Cryptocurrencies – A Blast of Reality!

Cryptocurrencies – A Blast of Reality! My Post On Steemit

Spring sunshine morning here. Makes everything and everyone seem better after a freezing snowy fortnight.

I was housebound, and when I did venture out I got stuck on an ice patch on the pavement – Like - a friend said, - ‘A Stranded Vale’ –. My surname being Vale.

When we had our restaurant the Chinese owner of the shop next door used to call me Mr Whale, because he had difficulty with his Vs.

From time to time I give some thought to the puzzle of governments unconcern with the threat of de-centralized independent Cryptocurrencies ending their previously unchallenged control and monopoly.

All the claims of Cryptos being independent of government and bank control and bringing the first ever serious challenge, and the ways and means, to end their dictatorship, seems not to faze them one jot.

Why – because I think they are confident they will be able to control with regulation almost all activity in the currency.

I say almost all, because human nature is such that there has always been and will forever be some who will seek to beat whatever system. Smuggling. Money Laundering. Black Economy. Nothing changes there.

Already we see Financial Exchanges requiring a licence to carry out cryptocurrency buying and selling, so records must be kept, and monthly or quarterly returns made under severe penalty for not complying.

Person to Person transactions – money transfer unseen by the prying eyes of our lords and masters, is possible of course, and originally, I thought the same with purchases from shops and businesses too.

Peer to Peer independence is possible there, but just as government have hogtied the Exchanges by requiring a licence to operate, so businesses will have to keep financial records, as they do already, but with an additional requirement for Cryptocurrency dealings recorded.

Think VAT & Sales Tax. Separate records must be kept, and regular returns made now. So it is a short step to applying a similar recording system for ins and outs of cryptocurrency .

When our government decided to charge Vat on hot take way meals, with cold left Vat free, I thought how on earth are they going to check the validity of the returns on that?

We could record all take away (To Go) meals as cold and return no tax to HM government.

But they control by exception. Most humans are honest and law abiding, so a pattern is established by businesses trading in the same sector i.e. hot and cold take away food.

The same applies to businesses big and small, and to all goods and services. Parameters are established, with deviation below average for the industry, flagging an alert requiring closer inspection.

Returns from businesses that show exception from the average will stand out like a sore thumb. They will then be under a scrutiny order, with plain clothes inspectors covertly observing footfall and sales activity.

If their observations suggest further scrutiny, a site visit from a tax inspector to examine books and records comes next.

And that is something businesses don't want. A visit from tax inspectors to examine books ! Because even if there is no wrong doing, and nothing to fear,it is a totally disruptive experience.

So, to Jeff, and others, believing that Cryptocurrency will bring about a Rule & Regulation free Utopia – I say - dream on! - Government legal protection racket will continue.

Big Brother, I feel, is Forever.

I'm glad your reality is warmer and more conducive to outdoor walks than it has been!

Good analysis on regulating cryptos. Some people actually embrace some regulation as it makes the masses feel that the space is safer to enter.

I think that since there are hundreds of cryptos with different properties, different ones will fill different needs. Instead of having one kind of money, we'll have a variety to choose from, and that freedom to choose should be a good thing for people. Some coins are planning to stay outside the reach of Big Brother. We'll see how it all plays out. Interesting times!

Thank you Kenny. I should have said I do think another currency is a good thing.Competition will improve the long established current system, and encouraging words about improvement and innovation are already being heard.

I don't believe any of the genuine newcomers will be able to operate free of government awareness and requirement to keep and provide audited financial records.

I agree that law abiding citizens, especially the weak, elderly and infirm appreciate most of the rules that are the foundation of a peaceful society.

Great Expectations Revised !

I haven't been on Blogger for a while,but I've been busy on Steemit & Facebook -

https://www.facebook.com/WantedNow-254231468331893/

A great deal of fun is being made of the collapse of Cryptocurrency prices in general. This picture says it all -

I think it's funny, but I also think Crypto investors will have the last laugh.I'm staying in.I repeat that I have not invested any cash.

My Bitcoin (BTC) and Steem Dollar (SBD) holdings have been built from writing on Steemit and the overall price growth.

Yes,I'm still well ahead from where my account stood last April - then valued at USD 78.

Then Bitcoin and Cryptos including my SBD took off and rose steadily, despite some big drop frighteners.. Squeaky Bum times as Sir Alex Ferguson would say.

During this spell I exchanged some SBD for BTC bitcoin and in December my total account was valued at just under $4000.

January saw the start of the price decline and today March 19th 2018 my total Bitcoin & Steem Dollar holding is  valued at $1200.

So I'm staying with it. After all from $78 in April to $1200 today is still good.

And I have a feeling that history may repeat itself and come April Cryptos will be on the march again.

Watch this space !

Anarchist Dollar Vigilante is Back.

This morning I transferred 20 Steem Dollars (SBD)( Earned from posting on Steemit) to Bittrex and sold them for Bitcoin.

I have been thinking about it for some days because the SBD and Bitcoin price BTC, have stalled or gone down. I hesitated because of being unsure which has the greater potential for growth again.

Anarchist ;The Dollar Vigilante, has been attending the Anarchist annual conference - Anarchapulco - in Acapulco Mexico, but resumed sending his newsletter this morning.

I don't hold with his radical anarchist views, but do give some weight to his thoughts on cryptocurrencies

I was surprised to hear that he has changed his view on the future of Bitcoin,so that pushed me to making the decision to change some SBD  to BTC.

The Dollar Vigilante Newsletter

It’s been a long time!

I warned that Anarchapulco and the TDV Summit would have my full attention for the last few weeks, but now I am back! You can expect a lot more content to begin rolling out soon.

But, during Anarchapulco, I had a chance to do an interview with Josh Sigurdson of World Alternative Media about the latest news and controversy surrounding the bitcoin vs. Bitcoin Cash debacle.

You can see the full interview here:

I continue to change my views based on new evidence and have a few reasons why I am turning quite bullish on bitcoin, again, based on what I see happening via some high level contacts.

You might be surprised to hear my reasoning and why I still don’t have confidence that bitcoin will ever be usable as digital cash, but think it may be time to be buying again.

You can get access to the next issue of the TDV newsletter coming out likely tomorrow to hear my analysis. As well as an in depth analysis of privacy coins. You can subscribe HERE.

The Economist - How The Technology Behind Bitcoin Could Change The World.

And Now The Premier Influential Publication - 'The Economist' -

Makes A Statement That Could Move Cryptocurrency Markets Again.

'How The Technology Behind Bitcoin Could Change The World.'

Wednesday 21 February 2018

In Damning Bitcoin;Leading Economist Confirms It's Worth !

In Damning Bitcoin; Leading Economist Confirms It's Worth !

Old but true saying -

There are none so blind as those who will not see

Recently Warren Buffet’s investment chief Charles Munger referred to bitcoin as “noxious poison”.

He’s not the only top financial expert to rubbish Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies of course.

It really is astonishing, it cannot be seen that a currency universal to all countries, must be a quicker, less costly way to move money between nations.

Instead of this -

In November we heard the same sort of thing from Josef Stiglitz. A Nobel Prize winning economist, no less.

Here’s what he had to say about bitcoin:

“It ought to be outlawed. It doesn’t serve any socially useful function.”

“Bitcoin is successful only because of its potential for circumvention, lack of oversight.”

Cambridge English Dictionary definition of circumvention - 'To avoid something, especially cleverly or illegally:

So… bitcoin has no useful function... except the rather obvious function of allowing people to escape or avoid the financial system.

Thanks for that Top Economists !

What they make abundantly clear is that they simply do not understand this new money revolution.

The very point of bitcoin is to provide a viable alternative to the financial system that simply does not work for everyone anymore.

Its rise has been brought about by its independence from financial authorities that have abused their monopoly position. -  example - 2007 Banking Crisis.

And as much as they might want it to go away… it will not.

Nor has it come anywhere near its full potential.

For there are many more equally expert financial experts than the naysayers, who see cryptoocurrencies not only staying, but achieving massive price increases in the leading coins.

Billionaire hedge fund legend Mike Novogratz believes it will “easily reach” a price of $40,000 per Bitcoin in 2018. Was as high as $20,000 per Bitcoin 2 months ago.Today Wednesday 21st Feb. - $10,724.70

Paypal director Wences Casares is even bolder, stating that “bitcoin could hit $1m in 5-10 years.”

Internet security pioneer John McAfee agrees, stating his belief that bitcoin will hit $1m by 2020.

Way back in 2013, McAfee was quoted saying “you can’t stop things like bitcoin… it’s like trying to stop gunpowder.”

And here’s the thing you really must wake up to… bitcoin is just the beginning.

If you’re not into bitcoin yet – stop faffing about! invest what you can afford to lose. That is the wisest strategy always.

It should be every investor's first port of call. If it goes to $100k this year – as it well could – you will be over the moon you finally picked some up.

Yes this is a risky and volatile market. That’s real. And so too is the enormous potential to increase your investment in it. That’s why only stake a small amount of funds you won't miss.

Approach this opportunity with caution but ambition and you have a real shot at a huge pay off.

And here’s the thing most people can’t fathom…

Cryptocurrencies are evolving into their own specialist fields. Bitcoin for spending in the shops and personal foreign travel.- Ripple for  Business Foreign Exchange Transacting. - Ethereum for Contracts i.e Business Contracts.Mortgage Contracts. Dogecoin for pet lovers. They pronounce it dogeecoin, and use it in pet shops.

A downside to cryptocurrencies is they cannot give loans. But I'm hearing that Dashcoin is looking at that area.

Bank Loans have driven and are driving the major world economies. We would not enjoy the standard of living we have without loan facilities. But control must be more rigidly enforced to avoid adding to debt crises

You could get into cryptocurrencies with no risk at all.Write articles, poems, put photos, artwork on Steemit, and be paid in Steem Dollars (SBD) a cryptocurrency.

Post on Facebook - Mr Billionaire Zuckerburg benefits.Post on Steemit - You benefit.

I don't agree with the Anarchist views that this is a financial revolution with the potential to bring down governments.

We do not want that chaos. Many of them write on Steemit, and I follow a few just to get an alternative view point.

Most were gathered at their annual conference last Sunday & Monday in Acapulco.Mexico. https://anarchapulco.com/

I see a combination of the existing and the new financial instruments.

To bring real competition and efficiency.

Some banks have already started a charm offensive. As an example you may have seen this bank advert -

" Our policy is to profit with our Customers - not from our Customers."

Love Letters Unfulfilled – Talent Undiscovered

My blogpost on Steemit this week -

Title - Love Letters Unfulfilled – Talent Undiscovered

Inspired by the topic on Steemit – Your life in 8 Songs – and by a lady friend – Dee – who guest posted with her story in songs on this blog last week, I started to write, but having more decades on the age clock than most, memorable song after song kept flooding my mind.

So I’m recalling a few most memorable

I suppose it was introducing last week’s post, about my fear of the school dentist’s pedal operated drilling contraption, that triggered the Pam Ayres thoughts on the subject, in her very funny verse & dialect.

Here’s a taster of the words in the first verse –

Oh, I wish I’d looked after me teeth,
And spotted the dangers beneath
All the toffees I chewed,
And the sweet sticky food.
Oh, I wish I’d looked after me teeth.

Funny, yes but when delivered in her broad – is it Gloucestershire accent? -  It adds another funny dimension.

Hear and enjoy the 8 hysterical rhyming verses treat here –

Al Jolson ‘Mammy’

Memorable because when I was 21 I lived with my parents in a converted red double decker bus for 2 years. (It was the subject of a post on this blog, but I can’t remember the title.)

The bus was parked on a garage yard. In a bungalow next door lived Dee ( My last week’s guest poster) with her family. She was a school girl at the time, but her older brother and I became good friends through a similar taste in music – especially Al Jolson.

Derrick had a talent for impressions and he could sing Jolson in the family front room, as good as the star himself on stage.

The voice and the impressive physical delivery – acting the story – down on one knee, arms outstretched, black face uplifted to the heavens – pleading

‘Mammy Mammy, I'm comin',
Sorry that I made you wait. I'm comin’, hope and trust that I'm not late,
oh oh oh Mammy,My little Mammy,
I'd walk a million miles for one of your smiles,My Mammy!

I have a vivid memory picture of Derrick performing that word for word, in style ,voice, and action.

I couldn’t find a good recording, but here is a re-mastered recording of Larry Parks singing ‘Sonny Boy’ in the Jolson style, and dubbed with Jolson singing the song.

Road to Morroco.Bob Hope.Bing Crosby.Dorothy Lamour

I was called for Army National Service at age 18 in 1944.After infantry training, I was posted to Burma and embarked on the converted luxury liner ‘Monarch of Bermuda’.

They made sure there was not much luxury to soften us. Top to Tail hammock sleeping. The smelly feet getting stronger the nearer we got to the tropical heat of India.

The cinema was usable afternoons, before hammock hanging time, and hearing Road to Morrocco brings that memorable - Phew ! experience back.

Here It is – Pity it’s not in Smelly Vision.

It was only a Winters Tale

I left behind in Blighty my first ever steady girlfriend, and we exchanged weekly letters for several months – SWALK on the envelope – all those kind of lover’s acronym messages.

2 years is a long time for young love to be apart, and so sadly, love withered.

Although’ It Was Only A Winter’s Tale’ is not of that time, hearing it always takes me back to our army tent in Burmese jungle land, and the dawning realisation that my first love, the most impressionable, intense, romantic memory of all, had gone cold, and I would never now send a letter with BURMA on the flap!

. At my age a certain thought surfaces sometimes. That sentence should tell you what it is.

Rita Cooledge and Kriss Kristofferson are two of my favourite duettists. ‘Please Don’t tell Me How The Story Ends’ is about their marriage break up.

There is so much feeling in the performance that although it shows their love for each other, and they were made for one another, still they must part.

Such are the unfathomable complexities of Love.

I think the title applies to my story too.

Feeling melancholy now

Goodbye

Hold the Front Page - dMania on Steemit Update

I published 2 Memes on the new dMania/Steemit  yesterday - Friday 16.2.18

I think the pictures look better on my Steemit Blog - See Here at this link - https://steemit.com/@ijavee

As you can see the memes above received a total of $2.56. Peanuts of course in relation to those $70 ones I showed in Thursdays post.

But they are Steem Dollars and 1 Steem Dollar today - (see chart at bottom of post)is worth $5.67 USDollars  so adding a saying or a joke to a suitable picture has paid me about $13 USDollars

The other thing to remember is that Cryptocurrency prices are starting to rise again  so that $13 is a free indirect investment in Bitcoin (BTC) through Steem Dollar (SBD)

It's an easy and risk free way of being involved in the biggest revolutionary change to world financial systems ever, with potential huge price rises ahead as more and more learn about what is happening.

Most of the general public are unaware of the change going on in the financial world.Yes, they've seen bits of publicity about Bitcoin, but feel it's unlikely to affect them !! Wrong !!

Even the banks are sleep walking.

It is a bit involved withdrawing money from Steemit. I decided to test it last week by withdrawing $100.First I had to change SteemDollars to Bitcoin with the Bittrex exchange. They don't send money to UK banks, so I had to send the Bitcoin to an exchange that does  - Coinbase.

They don't exchange Bitcoin for the British Pound (GBP) only into Euros.

So yesterday I go into my bank for advice on receiving Bitcoin or Euros into my account.

Shock Horror !! - Did I say a rude word - Bitcoin ?

Yes, the banking advice lady had seen bits of publicity about Bitcoin in the news, but no official training on dealing with Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies had been undertaken, or even mentioned in internal bank reports.

But yes, the bank can receive Euros and change them to GBPs

I'll do that next week.
