Bitcoin - Latest

While ordinary stock market shares are yo yo-ing with uncertainty, technological giants Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and similar, are positively soaring .The covid pandemic is accelerating transition to the digital and technological age.

But the best performing asset of the last decade was Bitcoin. Still prone to sudden sharp up and down price movement, but overall trend is up, and traditional banks are starting to get interested.

Interest in cryptocurrencies is rising because businesses and holders of cash fear that government support payments to individuals and businesses, weaken the U.S. Fiat currency (Fiat - from the Latin 'It shall be'-  Fiat money that has no intrinsic value, i.e it's just paper! - but governments decree 'It shall Be' legal tender).

This is confirmed by traditional banking institutions, like JPMorgan Chase, cautiously hedging digital currencies onto their platform.

In May, the largest retail bank in America, JPMorgan, which has historically
been a staunch

opponent of Bitcoin, announced it is already processing crypto transactions on its platform, and plans to create JPM Coin, a digital currency tied to the dollar. A crypto coin available universally, not requiring any changing, will speed up and reduce costs of sending money anywhere in the world.

In June, CoinDesk reported that PayPal and Venmo are considering joining the crypto community by offering direct sales of cryptocurrencies. Earlier in August, we saw Goldman Sachs bring in a new head of digital assets to scale up its crypto operations.

Crypto—once the reserve of gamers, coders, and early tech millionaires—is now a place where more people have access to an alternative system giving greater control over their wealth.

Anyone with a smartphone can access crypto without waiting for banks to open or a debit card to arrive. What's more, because crypto is decentralized, and uses a public ledger to show or hide records, there is a level of transparency that government programs do not provide.

For the most part, crypto currencies have operated in a world of their own. But in 2020—amid the coronavirus pandemic—interest in crypto has boomed. That interest is mainly with investors and speculators and causes high volatility as they try to make money buying the dip and selling the tip of price movement.

Bitcoin won't be generally accepted for daily bread and butter shopping until there is some price stability. Finding the price of potatoes and other staples has risen dramatically between home and shop will see to that.

The value of money is changing. As Americans continue to receive financial assistance and businesses utilize (PPP) Payroll Protection Programs, the value of the dollar is dropping. Earlier this week, the U.S. Dollar Index was at its lowest level since May 2018.

So more people will hedge money from the devaluing dollar into gold and silver, the traditional alternative stores of value. And now cryptocurrencies give another option.

Bitcoin is established. There is a reason why the most prestigious university endowments, such as those affiliated with Harvard, Stanford, and MIT, all invest in crypto funds.

If you have spare funds that you can afford to lose - (cryptocurrencies are prone to high volatility in their early years) - then invest some in Bitcoin and Digital assets.

Tesla Overtaken - Renault Zoe EV Dominates Europe’s July EV Sales

Renault sold 9280 Zoe EVs in Europe in July to dominate the surging electric car market

The mass production Renault Zoe dominated Europe's Electric Vehicle sales in July.

Europe’s July auto sales figures are great news for electric car lovers but very bad news for Tesla.

Tesla fans have long argued that with such a huge head start in electric car sales it can’t be caught by OEMs, (Other Electric Makes) but that theory was blown aside in July, according to respected auto market analyst firm, Jato Dynamics.

While electric vehicle (EV) sales accounted for 18 percent of the total sales in Europe in July, Tesla sales were down 76 percent to just 1050 sales in the month.

The Covid-19 pandemic might have smashed global auto sales in the first half of the year, but its impact was far lower on electrified, plug-in cars.

EV registrations in Europe were up 131 percent year on year, to 230,700, in July.

Tesla sold just over 1000 cars in Europe in July, in a market of more than 53,000

Sales of Model 3 fell with the rest of the Tesla range in July, falling 76 percent in July

While production issues in California choked Tesla’s sales, there was no shortage of OEMs charging forward to fill the vacuum.

“In contrast to the general trend of increasing demand for electric cars, Tesla is losing ground this year in Europe,” says Jato Dynamics global automotive analyst Felipe Munoz, global analyst.

Free Energy From This Donut?

Are you puzzled how governments seem confident spending trillions of cash a day, while still trillions in debt?

And stock and money markets are happy with that.

Despite upbeat and downbeat economic messages on the same day

Monday June 8,2020 - We are officially in a recession. The National Bureau of Economic Research has made it official - The crash stemming from the pandemic with millions becoming unemployed worldwide, ended the longest economic expansion in U.S. history.

Mon, Jun 8, 2020 - The Stock Market Recovery Continues. Investors continue betting on the economic recovery.

I'm puzzled, but pleased, that jobs could be created quickly, particularly for the younger generation, whose career opportunities have been delayed, even sacrificed in many people's  opinion, by lockdown.

But governments know that breakthrough technologies to quickly transform economies may be close. Inventions are imminent that will spawn thousands of new start ups and jobs.

Stimulating growth, similar to the discovery of electricity, which opened a door to the internet revealing thousands more doors to opportunity. And will continue to do so.

With 5G for example. Many dismiss it as just 4G updated. But it is much much more than that.

It will further revolutionise industries and create countless new ones - see my 5G post

Also a world of abundant energy could be excitingly close and virtually free. Described as 'Squandrable amounts of energy' in the book 'Abundance'.

This is because the prospects for developing nuclear fusion as a feasible source of energy have significantly improved, say experts.

Nuclear fusion differs significantly from nuclear fission, which has been our only way of getting electricity from atoms since the 1950s.

Fusion is what produces the sun's energy.

Enough energy from the sun falls on the Sahara Desert in a day to power the whole world for a year!

For decades, researchers have been trying to "Build the Sun in a box" as one physicist dubbed it.

The basic idea is to take a type of hydrogen gas, heat it to more than 100 million degrees until it forms a plasma, and then control it with powerful magnets until the atoms fuse and release energy.

To deliver the fusion concept, countries have focused their energies on a major international co-operative called Iter.

The Iter project involves 35 countries and, right now, it is constructing a huge donut shape test reactor in southern France.

The plan is to have the first plasma generated in 2025.

However, getting from this step to producing energy is extremely difficult.

Iter has also been beset by long delays and budget overspend which means it is unlikely to have a demonstration fusion power plant working even by 2050.

The UK government has recently announced an investment of £200m to deliver electricity from a fusion reactor by 2040.

But perhaps the major excitement comes from private companies. They are usually smaller, and nimbler, (for example -Tesla's Eion Musk's Company SpaceX, successfully launching a manned rocket to the International Space Station for millions of dollars less than NASA can)

There are now dozens of them around the world, raising funds and pushing forward, often with different approaches to Fusion that will generate the squandrable amounts of energy, transforming economies and lives everywhere.

But sceptics and critics say - with the price of wind and solar continuing to drop, existing renewables might offer a more economical and timely method of tackling climate change and generating energy, than an unproven technology like fusion.

Either way The future looks bright - 'Put that light ON'

Feel better now ?

P.S. This will probably be my last post. My heavy leg and balance problem has worsened and is aggravated by legs bent, sitting at the computer. Reading that through, as an ex army man I hope last post is not prophetic!

Felt lazy the last couple of days, plus I am working on an article and video to post here shortly.
I don't like leaving my blog too long without posting, so here is an early attempt I did at video making-

It will be interesting to compare for improvement when I publish a new one with voiceover - fingers crossed ?

I have a quantity of vintage film posters. To publicise them on Etsy I made up a story.

Title - 'Lovin' Old Movie Posters

'Lovin' - A double meaning . Love IN, and Loving, Old Movie Posters.

This love story is told through stunning, digitally remastered, replica film title adverts, that adorned our cinema bill boards pre 1990.

They generated a magic excitement of anticipation then. They still retain that power now, and some will stimulate nostalgic memories of romantic cinema visits - perhaps?

Buy this book of Posters on Etsy. Keep it, treasure it. Pass it on to younger generations, with personal stories or memories associated with a film title.

Who knows. These iconic film posters will acquire treasured vintage status with age, and increase in value.

Possibly featuring eventually on 'The Antiques Road Show' or 'Bargain Hunt'! For more High Quality Reproduction Prints,on Posters and Coffee Mugs visit our Etsy shop - https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/HomeDecorTag

Bug...It

My post about how we promote illness as a major industry - when it doesn't earn the country any money, only spend it, and always screaming for more, didn't go down well.

Understandable. Insensitive timing, given the hell the medical and caring services have gone/are going through.

But I did stress. it is the system itself, not the doctors, nurses and others actively working it.

I thought, I'll leave 'ILL' alone.

I won't mention the subject again.

But this morning I was sent a video. It is lower down this post. It's called - Millennium Bug vs Covid-19.

Remember the millennium bug?

Everyone was terrified the world would come to a stop, thanks to Y2K – the Millennium Bug.

Aircraft would fall from the sky. Elevator lifts world wide would stop mid floor, everything controlled by a computer chip would stop at midnight New Years Eve 1999.

It was claimed computer programmes date change code only went to 1999,and would revert back to 1000,because computer coding to replace the 1 with a 2 had been overlooked.

That was the rumour which became more believable the nearer the millennium date got.

Millions were spent as everyone upgraded just in case it could happen.

Nothing did.

Is there a similarity unfolding with Covid-19?

A question prompted by the 90% downgrading of mortality figures by CDC - America’s 'Centre for Disease Control and Prevention' - From 3-4% to 0.4%...

Also - CDC Admits COVID Death Rate for Healthy People Is 0.02%!

They raise alarming questions over the necessity of the $5.6 trillion lockdown cost...

Particularly as regards who will ultimately pay.

Also new figures out of Italy - Average age of those dying - 80 - Most with underlying health conditions.....

But listen to the interview video, especially the first 5 minutes giving those new CDC Covid percentages. - make up your own free mind.

Message from - 'Why Am I Not Prime Minister'? - Vale.

The UK government are shocked and surprised at how risk averse the public are.

They expected there would be huge relief and eagerness to get back to work, school and normal service be resumed.

Instead there is reluctance from a significant number of the population, with consequent chaos.

Why are they surprised? - State nannying has made Illness a major part of the economy.

They've created a revolving door of medications that can cause side effects, and hospitals to put that right.

People now believe in entitlement. The State will provide.

Then nature decides - You want Illness? - Try this special virus we've created for you.

What's to be done. Not a lot quickly, without major disruption.

Our Doctors, nurses and those actively involved with, and treating, patients are wonderful. The Best. But poorly led.

It's the system. Free healthcare. Admirable in principle, but prone to abuse and bureaucratic meddling, by empires built by too many non jobs for non jobs.

Our NHS is the envy of the world', is the frequent claim, yet not one country has copied it.

Time for some inner contemplation, and self truths on healthcare, methinks.

Oh, and another thing.

The vast majority of humans are born with good health. It's natural, otherwise we wouldn't be here.

Instead of building on nature's gift of wellness, something has gone adrift.

Our priorities have been lulled away from first responsibility to look after ourselves.

Someone asked me - Why are you promoting bleach? (Hydrogen Peroxide - See my Post Oxygen Saves for my reasons)

President Trump was hugely criticised for suggesting vaccinating with bleach, but didn't clarify further. It is presumed he was referring to Hydrogen Peroxide.

The book ' One Minute Cure' which features hydrogen peroxide ( food grade) as a source of natural oxygen therapy was published in 2008.

It is a well established and used natural therapy. It has been brought to prominence now, because only 2 things have shown to affect the virus so far - soap and oxygen.

Here Now - 5G Smart Phones. Latest UK. and USA. Fast Track To The Future - Today!!!

Did my post yesterday get you excited at the transformation 5G is going to bring to your lives.

Additional urgency to the 5G roll out is because - in the last two months we may have glimpsed the future.

Lives have been upended, as stay-at-home orders forced millions of people around the world to work, play and school at home.

At present 5G phones are too expensive for many pockets, so phone makers in the last few weeks have got in a G Up huddle and introduced changes that could potentially upgrade every future phone.

That's 1.5 billion new smartphones every year that could gain access to 5G networks.

This change will also give carriers the ability to continue expanding 5G network coverage as new users come online

One of the first with a lower price 5G smart phone, Samsung, sold out of its Galaxy A51 5G phone in one day,

For the U.K there are two Samsung 5G models below, and two 5G Phones USA.

While these phones may not be as powerful as their higher price flagship counterparts, they still have access to the same 5G high-speed network.

For an early indication that a 5G signal availability is close to you, keep your eyes open for these boxes appearing. [gallery ids="1201,1200"]
